                                                 show don`t tell

I  can see the white swirling snow storm, Leaves cluttering and wind  blowing them around constantly.the sun is hidden behind the clouds and the  the snow  is  blowing  the snow bit by bit. The clouds are cluttering in the dark black stormy sky  as i walk through the forest. there are huge  leaves and snow  on the ground.

Inquiry through Art

Thinking hard about my solution to climate change.  We used different types of media to create a solution to climate change.  Some of the ideas were adding fans onto bicycles that could filter the air and the cyclists could breathe through masks.  I liked the idea of having giant sea bin in the ocean to suck up all the rubbish!

Inquiry Water Filtration Experiment

Water Filtration

Hypothesis: The water would turn out to be clean, and look like fresh water.

AIM: Green lipped mussels filter water in the oceans naturally.  We are trying to mimic this
process using our water filtration experiments.

Ingredients: 5 cotton buds, 4 paper towels (filter), 1 rubber band, sand, dirty water, pebbles and 1.5-2 litre bottle cut in half.

  1. Grab a paper towel and rubber band and tie the paper towel onto the mouth of the bottle.
  2. Place in the 5 cotton buds and place a paper towel on top of it.
  3. Now, add ½ a cup of pebbles in and put another paper towel on the pebbles.
  4. Next, put in ¾ a cup of sand with a paper towel on top of that.

Results: The water came out much cleaner but didn’t look like it was fresh or safe to drink.

Conclusion: The bottle we used was too wide to hold the filter in place. We managed to filter
the water to some extent but not as clean (pure) as the mussels do.  Mussels and all sea life
have some role in the ocean, by reducing the ocean life, we impacting ourselves as well.
